About the Cabin

Built in the late 1920's, Fort Valley Cabin was a weekend home for the Koenigsberger Family from Washington DC. While there is little information as to when the National Forest Service took possession, it sat unused for about 30 years before the PATC took it over and renovated the cabin. See the Cabin manual for additonal information about the cabin and area. The cabin has immediate access to the Signal Knob/Massanutten Trail. Consult PATC Map G and the PATC Guide to Massanutten Hiking Trails for hiking opportunities
