Honorary Life Memberships and Lifetime Achievement Award
The Potomac Appalachian Trail Club honors those whose volunteer service to the club extends for a period. These are the people whom the club should remember as it moves to the future. Traditionally, the club designated these individuals with Honorary Life Memberships. In 2022, the club recognized that the Honorary Life Membership needed to be augmented by an award for those who are already life members or have passed on. Thus, the Lifetime Achievement Award was created.
Honorary Life Membership: This membership is awarded to volunteer members whose contribution to the club has been consistently outstanding over a period of several years.
Lifetime Achievement Award: This award recognizes those members who have significantly furthered the mission of the club, but who have either passed away or who are already Lifetime Members.
