About the Cabin
Former home of the Lambert family, this modern cabin is located on the western side of SNP, near Luray, VA. The original structure was built prior to the Civil War, and the additions were made before 1900. Downstairs, you will find a fully functional kitchen and dining area, game room, sitting room, and living room with a fireplace. Upstairs, three bedrooms offer sleeping space for 8. Access the cabin by a short stroll from the parking area. Hikers can take Crusher’s Ridge Trail to the AT.
Note: 1) Due to water quality concerns, renters should plan to bring their own drinking and cooking water. 2) Due to low hanging ceiling beams, any renters over 5'8" should use caution in the original living area.
Access Note: The last mile to cabin parking along Morning Star Road can become heavily eroded and even impassable in the event of inclement weather. High clearance vehicles are necessary, and four-wheel-drive is recommended. No alternate access is available. See "Accessing Cabins" in Cabin FAQs for further information.
